Skype with Spike

Remember that cartoon back in the 60's called the Jetson's. Well neither do I, >.< except that it played though re-runs during the 70's. It was this "space-age" cartoon family sitcom projecting their lifestyle into another time period. The Jetsons lived in a futuristic utopia in the year 2062 with elaborate robotic contraptions, aliens, holograms, and whimsical inventions.

It all seemed so futuristic with their moving sidewalks, flying aerocars and videophone. And yet here we some 50 years later with a few of these "futuristic" things already in place. The videophone or as we call it SKYPE is one such item that I certainly appreciate.

Having Kyle {spike} so far from home while he's at school has taken time to get adjusted to. Since he moved in September I've only seem him about 4 times when he was able to get home for different holidays. Needless to say, I am so thankful for SKYPE. It gives us that opportunity to not only chat with each other but for me to see him as well; and tonight we spent about an hour visiting together. Sure we could just talk on the phone but seeing him, somehow, makes all the difference.

Blessings

It's so true! And there is a lot of touch screen technology too. CD's and DVD's will soon be a thing of the past.... :)

I wish there had been skype when I lived in Winnipeg for a year (or at least e-mail) would have saved me tonnes of time having not to write so many letters
LOL

glad you are able to keep in touch so personally
