Spring

Hyacinth flowers with their single dense spike of fragrant flowers that comes in shades of red, blue, white, orange, pink, violet or yellow are probably my favourite 'spring' flower. When they first start to peek their heads through the ground that sometimes is still covered in snow, it shows me again that winter in not forever and that spring is coming.

My dear friend Ruth gave me a basket of Hyacinth flowers in full bloom, as a hostess gift a week ago Sunday, as we had invited her family over for dunner. Our kids and Jerry & Ruth's are almost all the same age, Krystle & Amanda are the same age, then Kyle, Darcy & Anneka are the same age and then Sam. We have been friends with this family practically forever, it's wonderful to hang out with another couple/family who are facing the same struggles/decisions that we are. It's been great to share parenting tips/ideas on different situations that each of us face as we're raising our kids. What a blessing it is to share our thoughts and support each other. It's good to know you are not alone. How wonderful it's been to have this family be a such an integral part of our family.

With the busyness of everyone's schedule (Krystle & Amanda are away at post-secondary school, Kyle is working, and Darcy, Anneka & Sam are still in high school) we've unfortunately not been able to gather together as often as maybe we'd like. However each time we do get together we always have such a great time ~ one that I cherish.

I look forward to the next time, knowing that no matter much time has passed between visits, we'll be able to pick up where we left off and continue this beautiful friendship with our dear friends.

Blessings

So WONDERFUL to be outside enjoying the BEAUTIFUL weather we have been having a HOPE for things to come......
Friends are something to truly cherish...I have a WISE sister reminded me that Jesus had only a "few" close friends while here on earth, it reminded me to work hard at keeping the friendships that mean the most to me. and to treasure the times you have with those.....
