It gives us the much needed time to get the crops harvested, the garden cleaned out, and the yard work all done. Each year, Wayne & I disagree to when and if we've had Indian Summer. I would quite often think that we have it in October - you know around Thanksgiving when we have "summer-like" weather. He would always say that we can't have Indian Summer until it's snowed. Something to do with the old farmer's tales.
This is probably the only time I am thankful to be wrong. I am glad we didn't have Indian Summer in October, but rather to have it now. I love this weather! In fact, I could get quite used to it.
Blessings
